QuickBooks provides many preset reports that focus on all aspects of your business. The preset reports are great, but to delve deeper into the data, or extract non financial information, it is necessary to build customized reports. 

Report building is exciting, and gives you the “keys to your QuickBooks kingdom”. There are many ways to build a report, including using filters. When a filter is applied, you choose exactly what information you want QuickBooks to use. QuickBooks then excludes the data that does not meet your criteria. You can apply filters either one at a time or in combination.

Once your reports are built to your specific needs, they can be easily accessed in the future without further modification. Did you know that you can also open and print multiple reports all at the same time? This is a great time saving tip.
