Keynote

Lisa Broida Bailey is the director of social networking communications for Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia's only hospital devoted solely to cancer treatment, research and prevention. Since 1998, Lisa has worked in various roles at Fox Chase in marketing, communications and website development.  Fox Chase Cancer Center wanted to make a big splash with social media—and they did! Lisa will present a case study that will teach you how the center built its "Love Versus Cancer" campaign through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

You'll learn that you don't have to spend big bucks to get big results. The center's campaign website had more than 28,000 page views, with visitors from all 50 states and more than 60 countries. It was also able to hire a web contractor for the site, a video production staff and purchased a wide variety of promotional materials.

Fox Chase Cancer Center did all this on a tight hospital budget. And you can, too.

Closing Speaker

Kate Nasser, The People-Skills Coach, is a former techie turned people-skills guru (BS Mathematics, Masters in Org. Psychology).  She left Johnson & Johnson 20 years ago to become a business owner. She went from the Information Technology world into the world of entrepreneurs and the learning curve was steep.  She had to learn how to find customers, market, sell, run a business, and develop/deliver training programs.  Business came through referrals after doing the work.  She has trained thousands of professionals on customer service/care and teamwork in mid to large corporations throughout the USA and Canada. (http://katenasser.com 908.595.1515).

In the last two years Kate has taken another new journey to the world of online Social Media to market her first people-skills training DVD "Customer Service USA: What They Expect Coast to Coast & Everywhere In Between." (http://katenasser.com/training-dvds). The first sale of this DVD came from her online presence and she booked two face-to-face workshops along with the sale of the DVD.

If you are thinking "online social media is easy for Kate because she was a techie years ago", think again.  She worked on very different technology that is nothing like online social media today.  Kate believes anyone can learn how to use social media sites and for small businesses it is a boon to advertising, sales, and unforeseen opportunities!

Get ready to laugh at Kate's true stories in her talk "Click to Connect and Connect to Click" while you capture these key points:

  • If you wouldn't do it face to face, don't do it online!
  • Online social networking is your free neon sign - why are you afraid of that?
  • Blogs are not blah blah blah ... they can build build build your business.
  • Is online social networking better or worse than face to face?
